Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi Chinese
smartphone manufacturing companies have partnered to increase their
peer-to-peer transmission. Through this partnership, users will be able to
share files, pictures, and videos without the internet. The user does not need
an internet connection for file transfer. That means smartphone users of all
three brands will be able to easily share data.
What is the Peer-to-Peer
Alliance?
This alliance has been
implemented under the High-Speed Wi-Fi Direct Transfer Protocol between the
three companies. This allows users to share interactive files even without
internet connectivity.
How will this Alliance work?
The device will be scanned by
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for transferring files without the internet. After
which data can be transmitted through Wi-Fi P2P technology. This transmits more
data over Bluetooth. This transmission will get 20MB / s speed.
Andy Woo, Vice President of
Oppo, said, "The goal of this three brand partnership is to make Oppo,
Vivo and Xiaomi's millions of users around the world easier and more
user-centric file sharing."
Oppo TV is also set to launch
after
Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Nokia.
Oppo has been manufacturing smartphones and wearable devices so far. However,
the company has now decided to expand its portfolio. So far, the company has
not announced anything about the launch of the TV, however, reports suggest
that the name of the TV may be Oppo TV.
