Samsung has already confirmed what the Galaxy S9’s most crucial
update is possibly, but now following screen leaks, battery detail and other
features two again slips by Samsung have finalized a third Galaxy S9 different
and what is set to be the Galaxy S9’s biggest awesome specifications.
1. Intelligent Scan Vs. Face ID
Last approval detail to SamCentral which dug through Samsung’s updated
Android Oreo beta and found a leaked feature which looks like the company’s
answer to Face ID on the iPhone X. It is called ‘Intelligent Scan’, it is a merge
of both iris and facial identify.
Attending text in the beta update the two technologies work “combine
for better outputs even in low or very bright light” and for “better perfections
and safety”. There is also an animation hidden with other source code online available.
For those who want to tunnel around in the Oreo beta themselves,
the Settings APK has been uploaded here.
Will Intelligent Scan be a competitor to Face ID? I’m not satisfied,
but it may be the best alternative we’ve seen. Surely iris recollection is especially
powerful secure (more so than facial recognition used in Face ID) and integrating
the two is an gripping metric, but without a 3D mapping dot projector as used
in Face ID it may be more simply completed by 2D images. Time will tell.
Time will also tell if Samsung brings Intelligent Scan to obtaining
Galaxy smartphones. The Galaxy S and Galaxy Note scopes have had both iris and
facial recognition scanners for a while now, so theoretically Samsung should be
able to bring this feature to them as well.
2. Samsung Confirms Dual Sim Galaxy S9 Plus
Samsung has already reported the day it will publish the Galaxy
S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus, but an over eager addition to its website has now committed
there will be a third different with a dual sim kind of the Galaxy S9 Plus as
well.
Spotted by MSPowerUser, dual SIM other of existence series Galaxy
smartphones have long been popular so this isn’t purely unexpected update. But
the interesting thing is these models have usually been reserved for Asian
markets yet the model (SM-G960F/DS - aka ‘Dual SIM’) is listed on a holding
page for Samsung’s German website designating the model will come to Europe for
the first time.
Whether this also recommended a US publish for Galaxy dual SIM handsets
is on the cards rest to be seen, but such a move would be a boon to smartphone possessor
with two network contracts or specific home and work phones.
Couple this new detail with the reality I without released the
(somewhat disappointing) Galaxy S9’s final look last month and there’s minor
left for Samsung to watch when it launches the smartphone in February (against
some majestic internals). In case, for my money, the most appealing thing about
the Galaxy S9 is mostly to be the popular legacy specifications Samsung has
kept when so many rivals are discarding them.
